Helicopter Flying in Whitsundays, Great Barrier Reef, Queensland, Australia, from 13th to 20th April 2017

Flying overseas is always the highlight of the year.  This time, we shall have helicopter flights over the cluster of Whitsunday islands of the Great Barrier Reef in the EC120, R66 or R44, and boarding Cruise Whitsundays’ purpose-built reef vessel departing from Hamilton Island where we shall be based.  We shall cruise out through the Whitsunday Islands National Park to the outer Greater Barrier Reef.  Upon arrival at Hardy Reef, it is all abroad Reef world pontoon for a day, exploring the abundance of magnificent coral, fish and marine life.  You may opt to jump right in and snorkel or dive the day away, caught up in the amusing antics of the living creatures that call Hardy Reef home.

For those that do not want to get wet, there are plenty of options for enjoying what is below the surface.  An underwater viewing chamber and semi-submersible provide the perfect alternative to diving or snorkelling.  For those just wanting to have fun, there is a waterslide from the pontoon straight into the sea !  A delicious buffet lunch will be provided.

Island hopping by helicopter will certainly be a must.  In an hour and a half, we shall be able to see most of the islands, including the Whitehaven Beach, which is one of the most famous beaches in the world.  The pure white silica sands stretch for more than 5 kilometers on the uninhabited tropical Whitsunday Island.
